Welcome to the Sawgrass Adventist School
Middle School Classes!

We are a dynamic, friendly group of 6th, 7th and 8th grade students with a contagious zeal for learning and zest  for life.  This year our class family will conduct experiments; complete projects; prepare power point presentations;  go on web quests; produce videos; and attend field trips to better understand this vast, illustrious universe we live in. We will participate in this year's Science Fair, the South Florida Regional Spelling Bee, and Middle School trip to Washington DC.  Each event is aimed at enhancing our academic experiences.

All Middle School students work at their own academic ability level.  Those students at regular grade level can expect the following curriculum:

Typical 6th Grade course studies include: Math6; English 6; Earth Science; Foundations of Geography; A study of God's Grace; Art Explorations; Choir or Band; Team Sports/Conditioning; Conversational Spanish.

Typical 7th Grade course studies includeMath7/Pre-Algebra; Comprehensive Literacy7; Science7; World Studies; Biblical Truths; Art Explorations; Choir or Band; Team Sports/Conditioning; Spanish MS1

Typical 8th Grade course studies include: Math8/Algebra9; Comprehensive Literacy8; Science8; U.S. History/Government; Christian Life Applications; Art Explorations; Choir or Band; Team Sports/Conditioning; Spanish MS2

In addition to formal academic events, our classes will also enjoy planning and performing in school chapel programs and have the option to exercise their abilities and talents by joining the SAS BasketballVolleyball or Soccer Team; participating in Yearbook or Journalism Club; or sharing their creative talents in Drama Club or Worship Expression.

Parents should be sure to read our weekly class and school newsletters as well as visit the parent web page to keep informed of our weekly activities and any homework or outside reading expectations.  Your assistance is always welcomed.  Contact the school office for ways to volunteer.

Please keep our school, staff and each student family in your prayers throughout the year!
